Prior to 2005-06, Tata Coffee Limited had two tea estates, viz., Glenlorna in Kodagu and Merthikhan in Chikmagalur and during early 2006 gradually acquired five more tea estates, with a total area of 3,577.29 hectares in Anamallais Hills located in Tamil Nadu. These five estates; Malakiparai Estate, Pachaimallai Estate, Pannimade Estate, Uralikal Estate and Velonie Estate; are together known as the Anamallais Tea Division.

Tata Coffee has a holding of 4772.33 hectares in the Anamallai's which is as follows:

Tea 2102.40 Ha.
Fuel 526.24 Ha.
Coffee 696.29 Ha.
Cardamom 143.32 Ha.
Others 1304.08 Ha.
Total 4772.33 Ha.

The total area of the all the tea estates covers 4755 hectares. The company produces 6.50 million kilograms of black tea annually with a product mix of both Premium CTC and Orthodox tea; all of which are primarily sold through auction centres in Cochin, Coimbatore and Connor. The renowned Malkiparai mark is also a part of this division.
