Prior to 2005-06, Tata
Coffee Limited had two tea estates, viz.,
Glenlorna in Kodagu and Merthikhan in Chikmagalur
and during early 2006 gradually acquired
five more tea estates, with a total area
of 3,577.29 hectares in Anamallais Hills
located in Tamil Nadu. These five estates;
Malakiparai
Estate, Pachaimallai
Estate, Pannimade
Estate, Uralikal
Estate and Velonie
Estate; are together known as the Anamallais
Tea Division.
Tata Coffee has a holding
of 4772.33 hectares in the Anamallai's which
is as follows:

The total area of the
all the tea estates covers 4755 hectares.
The company produces 6.50 million kilograms
of black tea annually with a product mix
of both Premium CTC and Orthodox tea; all
of which are primarily sold through auction
centres in Cochin, Coimbatore and Connor.
The renowned Malkiparai mark is also a part
of this division.
