When Tata Tea Limited
took over Asian Coffee Limited in 1992-93,
it became the single largest integrated
company in Asia and the company's Instant
Coffee Division was the first 100 per cent
export oriented unit for instant coffee.
The company has three
EOU's: one located at Toopran, near Hyderabad
and the other two located at Theni near
Madurai. These units export to markets such
as Russia, Italy, France, Poland and several
South East Asian countries
The division has been
consistently receiving best exporter awards
for its outstanding contribution towards
soluble coffee and R and G coffee exports
from India.
The Instant Coffee Division
presently caters to spray dried and agglomerated
segments. To augment more segments, the
Division boasts of a Freeze Drying Plant
with a capacity of 2000 metric tons.
Instant Coffee Division
has advanced packaging facilities to cater
to the customised requirements of private
labels. Products are packed in tin cans
of 50 grams, 100 grams and 200 grams and
in flexible packaging such as pouches. Bulk
packs of 25 kgs, 30 kgs and 45 kgs are also
offered.
The division has expanded
its capacity to 7600 mt's per annum
by acquiring and setting up new plants for
premium products.
Instant Coffee Division
is ISO 9001 certified and is customer driven,
meeting all quality requirements as well as
ISO 22000-2005.
